Item Details
A power-loomed Mirage Collection wool area rug by Couristan. This Belgian-made rug features a semi-curvilinear design and palette reminiscent both of Turkish Oushak and Arts and Crafts rugs. Woven in a palette of taupe, olive, camel, mauve, salmon, and gray, it features large, stylized palmettes and vines over a field phased in taupe, camel, and deep sage. Small arrows embedded in the design are a nod to Oushak models. In this vein, the primary border is very wide, with large palmettes, meandering vines, and leaves over sage. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with tan cotton fringe. It is labeled on the reverse.
