A pair of offset lithographs on paper titled January and March, after original paintings by Pieter Casteels (1684-1749), engraved by Henry Fletcher (1710-1750). These prints feature two botanical studies from the plant and seed catalog Twelve Months of Flowers by Robert Furber (1674–1756), with decorative arrangements of plants that bloom during each month. The work is signed in plate, and is presented under yellow mats and glass, with string to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- minor wear to frame finishes; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly.
