A pair of color photographs by Charleston artist R.A. Rocz and Charleston Blacksmith: The Work of Philip Simmons by John Michael Vlach. The photographs show compositions made from the shadows of swirling ironwork fences titled Portico Shadows at Society Hall, Charleston and Gate Shadows at St. Philip’s, Charleston. Both photographs are titled in graphite to the lower left corner of the print on the mat and signed by the artist to the lower right corner. They are presented behind glass and in frames that are wired for hanging. Also included is the book about the work of Philip Simmons (1912-2009), and American blacksmith specializing in decorative ironwork.
