A hand-knotted Romantic Taj Persian style area rug likely made in India. The rug features a heavily populated floral pattern across the tan field of floral palmettes, lancet leaves, and vines in a palette of cream, powder blue, red, and burnt yellow. The field is enclosed by a compound border that feature a thin, floral guard border and a pattern of floral patterns and vines in a complementary palette along the main border. The rug has an overcast edge with a wool fringe. It is not marked.
