Large French Oak Buffet With Inlaid Tooled Leather Panels

A large French oak buffet with inlaid tooled leather panels. This piece has a light finish. It features two hinged doors to the center with four recessed panels in each. The panels hold burgundy leather inlays with tooled lions and floral motifs highlighted in gold tone. The two doors have gold-toned pyramid shaped nail head accents at each corner and joint. Within are two dovetail jointed drawers above storage shelves. The center doors are flanked by two hinged recessed panel doors with burgundy leather inlays and large gold-toned twist turned vertical handles. Additional storage is within. The front corners feature twisted columns above the turned front legs, which are embellished with small gold-toned pyramid shaped nail head accents. The legs fix to trestle style bases with a beam stretcher. The piece is labeled ‘Federation Nationale De L’Ameublement/0027’ to a door interior. The key is included.
