African Style Batiks of Gatherings
Item Details
A pair of African style batiks of gatherings. These two textile works depict a group of women shoving a wooden rod through a fluted tube. The other depicts a gathering of women adorned in patterned, draped dresses looking onward, some of which balance baskets on their heads.To the lower margins is an illegible artist signature. The batiks are presented in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- some wear and scratches to frames; tape residue to backing board.
