An original oil painting titled Blanche by Cincinnati artist Gayle Gillette Hummel. Painted in an Impressionist style on canvas, Hummel uses bold tones of pink and fuchsia with broad textural strokes, depicting a young woman in blue with her back turned. It is signed lower right. The art is presented in a gold tone composite frame, framed by Clossons.

Ms. Hummel has a lifetime of involvement in charities, with art selected by Princess Diana for a Children’s Hospital project. Her colorful work is acclaimed as nostalgic, happy and frequently expresses her love of children. She studied fine arts at Miami University, graduated from University of Cincinnati, and began selling her art in 1987.
