Large Decorative 20th Century Imari Serving Bowl

Item Details

A large decorative 20th century export Imari serving bowl. The bowl features a low, wide profile with sectioned decoration. One side features a detailed tree in full bloom surrounded by a fence, in pale green, carnelian red and greys; two remaining sections feature floral, abstract and foliate elements with a dragon form to one side in the same palette, with applied gilt embellishment. The underside of the bowl has a delicate blue and white vine work and floral pattern. Marked to the underside with a seal.

Condition

- light scratches and marks throughout, light pitting. No cracks.
