An original acrylic painting on canvas by contemporary Cincinnati artist and art critic Fran Watson. The painting depicts a reclining female nude, viewed from behind, stretched across iridescent blue, pink and lavender sheets that fade into a saturated cadmium red backdrop. The painting is completed in loose, painterly strokes, marks and modernist outlines. Artist initials are signed to the lower right, and signature is signed to the verso. The painting is presented without framing. Watson has exhibited extensively and has works in numerous private collections across her hometown of Cincinnati.
