Spanish Style Terracotta Pitcher

A Spanish style terracotta pitcher. Features an ornate style with vine and foliate designs to the handle and top with a scene of conquistadors in relief around the body. The piece rests on a round foot. It is finished in sage and cream tones with gilt highlighting to the rim and borders. The terracotta is cut, formed and fired by artisans from the Guadalajara region of Mexico and glazed and waxed using regionally unique glazes and wax.
