1805 Peter & William Bateman English Sterling Silver Covered Tray
Item Details
An antique English sterling silver covered tray by Peter & William Bateman. This tray features a repoussé scrolled foliate and floral design to the lid. There is gadroon trim around the rim of the bowl and it rests four claw feet. It is stamped to the lid, as well as the underside with the Peter & William Bateman maker’s mark alongside London hallmarks, which date this piece to 1805. The underside is etched ‘P-7311’. The approximate weight is 50.925 ozt.
