Antique Majolica Ewer

Item Details

An antique majolica ewer. Delicate floral cartouches are rimmed in deep blue. It is accented with gold gilt trim to the scalloped rim and shaped handle. Muted green and pale yellow glazes are artfully applied to a soft aqua field. The interior is glazed in solid aqua. It rests on a round footed base. Unmarked.

Condition

– no chips or cracks noted; some imperfections in glazing; significant crazing.
