An original mid-century oil painting on canvas by well-listed French artist Charles Blondin (1913 – 1991). The image depicts a Parisian street scene in Montmartre, people milling about the roads amongst the cafes and delis, Sacreé Coeur Cathedral rising in the background. Artist signature is signed in paint to the lower left. This work is mounted in a carved wood frame with a distressed gilt finish, equipped to hang.
Condition
- discoloration across painting, consistent with age. Accretion on painting and frame. Light wear to finish of frame.
