Decorative Japanese Imari Platter
Item Details
A decorative ceramic Japanese Imari platter with an ornate floral design. This large shallow dish has a decorative pattern surrounding the foot, and includes a scalloping motif of textile-inspired patterns and white doves around the edge of the face. The piece has a cobalt blue maker’s mark and sticker reading ‘Made in Japan’ to the verso, and includes a dark stand for display.
Condition
- small scratch to underside of plate; light wear throughout; piece could benefit from cleaning.
