A 19th century wood engraving titled Union Refugees in the Swamps of Louisiana. This double page illustration was originally included in an edition of Harper’s Weekly ca. 1870s. It depicts a group of refugee civil war soldiers hiding out in the swamps at a makeshift camp site. It is housed in a black wooden frame and is matted behind glass.

Condition

-Wood frame is scratched and scuffed and missing paint.
-Image and matting are in good condition
-Glass could benefit from being thoroughly cleaned.

-Visible image measurements are 13.5 × 9 inches.
