An artist proof serigraph and lithograph by well listed Russian artist Romain “Erté” di Tirtoff (1892-1990), titled Alphabet Letter L. This print on paper depicts an Art Deco rendering of a slightly nude woman in a leopard dress standing with a metal chain wrapped around her body. Attached to the end is a seated leopard with an open snarl. They collectively create the letter ‘L,’ and are placed against a flat black background with the cursive letter found to all four corners. To the lower margins is an artist signature and initials ‘A/P,’ denoting this as an artist proof. The print is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a black and gold-tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- frame has minor scuffing and scratches; glass could benefit from cleaning; tears to backing paper at lower corners.
