Ansonia "Crystal Palace" Striking Mantel Clock with Glass Dome
Item Details
An Ansonia Crystal Palace model, 8-day striking mantel clock with a glass dome lid. This clock has a brass bezel, white dial with black Roman numerals, exposed brass movement, brass bell, turned mahogany column with ebonized wood accents, and round base. It has a paper label on the back which reads, ‘Davies Sol Man’f, The Crystal Palace, Patented Jan 26. 1875’ and the movement is marked ‘Ansonia Clock Co., Ansonia, Conn. USA’. The clock was recently serviced, per consigner, and was running and striking during cataloging.
Condition
- Some wear to brass. Light staining to pedestal base.
- Runs and strikes.
