Genie Style Orange and Cream Tone Terracotta Vase

A handmade genie style chocolate, orange and cream tone glazed terracotta vase. Features a simple modern style, with long narrow neck and wide bowl on a simple round foot. The piece has been finished in three large swaths of glaze with written and scrollwork designs highlighting the borders between the glazes. The entire piece has been finished with a dark wax. The piece is signed Tirado and dated ’94 to the underside. The terracotta was cut, formed and fired in the Guadalajara region of Mexico and finished with regionally unique handmade glazes and waxes.
