A set of four circa 1981 offset lithographs on silk after paintings by artist Wei Tseng Yang. Included are The Awakening of Spring, The Tranquility of Summer, The Dance of Autumn and The Splendour of Winter. The prints depict birds including ducks, peafowl, cranes and pheasants, arranged in their natural environments and accented with colorful trees and flowers. The works are signed with red artist’s seals to the lower margin. Each is matted in cream and presented under acrylic glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. The prints each include a Certificate of Authenticity adhered to the verso, as well as paperwork from American Express, who issued this series as a promotional offering to cardmembers in the 1980s.
Condition
- minor wear and slightly loose joints to frames; toning to mats and paper ephemera.
