Spode "Christmas Tree" Teacup and Saucer Set
Item Details
A set of teacups and saucers from Spode in the Christmas Tree design, along with a pair of collector plates. This set includes approximately twenty-three teacups and a number of saucers, all white with green rims and printed holly leaf and berry designs. They have ‘Spode England Christmas Tree’ stamped to their undersides. Also included is a collector plate from 1970 with a partridge in a pear tree, marked ‘The first Spode Christmas Plate a limited production for the year 1970’ on the underside; and one of a winged angel from 1971, marked ‘The second Spode Christmas Plate a limited production for the year 1971’ on the underside.
Condition
- light scratches and staining; several chips to the glaze around the rim of one or more teacups; light wear to underneath of pieces.
