Chinese Porcelain Vases
Item Details
A pair of Chinese porcelain vases. The squared tall vase has hand-painted images of people in a garden attending an event on the main register. The shoulder and neck are decorated with florals and foliates and the bottom is marked in red. The ovoid vase has a hand-painted image of a woman with two children that appear to be playing, a poetic inscription is on the reverse. The bottom is marked to the bottom ‘Gumps’ and ‘Made in China’.
Condition
- marks and wear consistent with age and use, ovoid vase has slight chipping on the rim.
