Vintage Limoges Porcelain Kitchen Canister Set
Item Details
A vintage Limoges porcelain kitchen canister set. There are six canisters including one for flour, sugar, coffee, tea, spices, and pepper. Each canister is white in color with gold tone accents. The fronts of the canisters feature Rococo inspired roundels of male and female couples in garden settings. Below each roundel the intended occupant of the canister is printed in bold black lettering in French. The canisters are octagonal in shape and have Art Deco inspired lids. They are marked to the underside ‘P.L’ in a blue, white, and red striped shield with ‘France 10’ below.
Condition
- to fair. Losses to gold tone painted accents, particularly at top and corners. Minor chip on rim of Poivre jar. Adhesive labels attached to underside. Would benefit from cleaning.
