A set of over twenty-five 1940s offset lithograph pin-up clippings and calendars featuring images by listed ‘cheesecake’ artist Alberto Vargas (1896-1982), also known professionally as ‘Varga’. Featured items include Esquire Magazine clippings after the artist’s ‘Varga Girls’ illustrations accompanied by verse from Phil Stack, as well as several 1940s copies of Esquire pin-up calendars, including the 1947 Esquire Girl Calendar. Many of the images are signed in plate to the lower margin. The items are presented unframed.

Condition

- items are loose and unframed; creasing present throughout; edge and corner wear, with some torn and frayed edges; toning and foxing to paper; calendars may not be complete.
