An East Asian style painting on silk of a genre scene. This painting depicts two women in decorative kimonos standing on a grassy hill with lush foliage accenting a calm body of water. Found to the background is an arched bridge and pagoda. To the lower right corner of the composition is a vertical arrangement of Asian characters. The painting is presented beneath a single-layered mat in a red wooden frame.

- heavy foxing and staining to painting and mat; silk is loose and wrinkled; wear to frame finish; could benefit from cleaning.
