A hand-knotted wool area rug having a daffodil and tulip motif, likely made in China or India. It has an overall floral pattern to the main field, in a palette of pale yellows, taupe, brick red and shades of green on a deep onyx black ground. The pale yellow guard borders and steel blue-grey primary border all have similar floral and foliate motifs in the field colors. It has overcast edges and dense, hand-tied cotton fringe to each end. Illegibly tagged to reverse.
