Hadley and Louisville Stoneware Pottery
Item Details
A collection of stoneware by M.A. Hadley and Louisville stoneware. The collection is comprised of nine large plates, five medium bowls, four small bowls, four large bowls, seven medium plates and five small plates. There are five Louisville stoneware bowls accompanying the group. The Hadley pottery was founded in 1940 by Mary Alice Hadley a Louisville potter with family roots in the production of tiles. The pieces are marked M.A. Hadley and the bowls have a printed mark reading ‘Louisville Stoneware Made in Kentucky’.
Condition
- markings, wear, and scratches throughout; a few chips on one plate rim and two on the bowl rims; staining.
