Decorative Swords with Scabbards
Item Details
A pair of decorative swords. The longer sword has an irregularly curved blade which flares out at the base, on a wooden hilt with a black fiber-wrapped grip and a black-and-white decorated curved pommel; this sword is presented in a rattan-style wrapped wooden scabbard. The smaller sword has a straight single-edged blade and a black carved wood handle, and is presented in a brown leather scabbard. These pieces have no apparent maker’s marks.
Condition
- to poor; heavy rust throughout length of shorter blade; tarnish and marks to longer blade; some decoration detached from pommel of longer sword; wrapping loose on longer sheath; general wear and markings throughout.
