A large Chinese ancestral portrait, depicting four seated elders. The portrait is a watercolor and gouache on paper. This art is presented in a distressed finish gilt wood frame under glass.
(Beginning at top left and going clockwise) A female with headdress in a red gown, a male in indigo blue robes, with long fingernails, a male in a gold brocade robe, and another female in red and green robes, with a headdress.

Born on December 7th of the 5th year of Emperor Jiaqing. The holy place for the wife (name Jue) of the 86th Royal Duke Gao Ping-jun of Qing Dynasty Died on December 11 of the 4th year of Emperor Xianfeng.
Born on November 5th of the 15th year of Emperor Jiaqing, from 1 am – 3 pm. The holy place of the 34th Royal Duke Gao Ping Cai of Qing Dynasty. Died on April 11 of the 2nd year of Emperor Tongzhi, from 5 pm to 7 pm.
