An original 1952 oil painting on academy board of a horse portrait, by listed Ohio artist Arthur E. Bard (Portsmouth; 1905 – 1979). The image depicts a brown horse with a white spot on its forehead. The horse is fitted with bit and reins, and stares with large eyes at the viewer with a calm demeanor. Artist signature is signed in the paint to the lower left. This work is mounted in a beveled wood frame with a distressed brushed gold tone finish, equipped to hang.
