Cast Plaster Reproductio Sculpture After "Venus de Milo"

A cast plaster reproduction statue after the ancient Greek marble statue Venus de Milo (Aphrodite of Milos), now part of the permanent collection of the Louvre. Standing in contraposto the female goddess, is depicted head slighting turned and titled, missing arms and draped in cloth low across her hips. This has been finished in a dark stone gray with brighter green peaking through. No maker’s mark was found.

Condition

- some surface wear with loss to the paint and faint scratches.
