Mid-20th Century Serigraph of Emperor Taizong of Tang Portrait

A very large mid-20th century serigraph on paper reproduction of an original famed antique painted silk hanging scroll portrait of Emperor Taizong of Tang (598 – 649). The original piece is currently housed in the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan. The portrait depicts the Emperor standing and wearing a long green belted robe with scrolling dragons printed across it. A printed faux-silk brocade border lines the portrait. The emperor’s name is printed in both English and Chinese to the verso. It is presented behind glass in a thin dark wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
