19th Century Rococo Revival Papier-Mâché Slipper Chair with Inlay and Caned Seat

A 19th century English papier-mâché slipper chair with floral and foliate mother of pearl inlay and gilded decoration to the frame. The chair has a shaped crest, an ornately decorated splat, shallow arms that are scalloped at the edge and curled which extend to the shaped cane seat and cabriole legs.

Condition

- the frame is in good to fair condition with extensive cracks to body of chair; signs of repair and missing areas of shell inlay.
- the cane seat is in good condition
