Asian Shadow Puppet
Item Details
An Asian style shadow puppet. This piece presents the figure of a soldier in a traditional, patterned outfit holding a sword in one hand and his long beard in the other. The figure is painted on cut-out, transparent plastic, with a round hole to the midsection where a dowel would be inserted to animate the puppet. The piece is presented on a white backing with stamps to the upper left and lower right, under blue and red layered mats and glass, in a black tone frame with a stand attached to the verso.
Condition
- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; minor wear to frame finish.
