An oil painting on canvas titled Brittany Landscape by French artist Raymond Solari (1947-1987). This expressive painting depicts a seaside path leading to houses. The land meets the clear blue ocean near the center of the composition, with colorful boulders leading the eye back toward the horizon. The work is signed in white paint to the lower right, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity and biography of the artist to the verso. Raymond Solari was born in Marseilles, France in 1947. His first exhibition was in Paris in 1970. This piece is characteristic of his style and subject matter, which often includes small villages in vibrant colors. He showed in France and internationally countless times, and has received numerous awards and medals for his paintings.
