An oil painting on canvas by William Benecke (American 1934 – 2001) titled Along the River. It depicts a shady plaza under a large sycamore tree and a French cafe. Red chairs and tables mounted with red umbrella fill the area in front of the cafe. The unframed painting is signed ‘Benecke’ to the lower right and information about the artist and a W. T. Burger gallery label are attached to the verso. ‘All Rights Reserved W.T. Burger Co’ is stamped to the back of the canvas.
