Item Details
A ‘Tru-Action’ Electric Horse Race Game, produced by Tudor Metal Products circa the 1940s. This game features a vibrating metal board and several racehorse-shaped game pieces on specially designed bases which are designed to move forward as the board vibrates; Tudor used the same vibrating propulsion system to develop the first electric football game in 1949. The game box has a simple red and blue design with lightning bolts and text reading ‘Tudor Tru-Action Electric Horse Race Game’. The side of the box is marked ‘Tudor Metal Products Corp.’, ‘Brooklyn, N.Y. U.S.A.’, ‘Pat. No. 2167985 Other Patents Pend.’ and ‘For A.C. Only’.
