A 2003 mixed media collage on paper by Chicago artist Sally W. Spiegel. The work, titled My Burden, originates from the artist’s Wolff series. The piece depicts a grid with imagery in colors of yellow, pink and blue. Imagery includes a wolf, mountain peaks and sharp-edged word bubbles that read ‘I won’t see you. I won’t hear you. I won’t help you. You are my burden’. It is signed and dated in black pen to the lower center. The collage is mounted to a black mat and presented under glass in a black metal frame with hanging wire to the verso.
