Carved Teak and Bone Inlay Chest

Item Details

A teak trunk with hand-carved patterning and bone inlay. This piece features a carved foliate pattern to each surface and an inlaid mosaic of white bone triangles, arranged in geometric patterns. The trunk has a hinged lid, metal handles to either side and rises on corner bracket feet.

Condition

- heavy wear to edges, many inlaid pieces missing, large chips to front and top, staining to the underside of the lid.
