A Schleeh Designs wood vase Ice Birch. This artist signed wood vase is wrapped in a birch wood veneer in an irregular cone shape with round base. The vase is marked on the underside ‘Schleeh Design Handmade in Canada, ice birch.’ An illegible artist signature and date is affixed to the side. Schleeh Design is a contemporary Canadian company started in the 1950s by Colin Schleeh who studied housing construction and furniture design in Germany and Canada. The company designs and produces hand-carved wooden sculptural objects and vessels.

- black scratch on the bottom; slight marks consistent with age and use
