An oil painting on canvas of a landscape by artist H. Ross. This impressionist painting depicts a calm lake that cuts through grassy islands that are accented with autumnal birch trees with a lone cabin and mountainous landscape to the distance. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded patterning to the surface and a linen and gold tone liner. To the verso is affixed hanging wire.

- minor scuffing to the frame; slight staining to linen liner; wear to frame verso.
