Bessie Killeen Oil Painting "Poppies #2"
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas titled Poppies #2 by Bessie Kileen. Signed by hand in red paint to the lower right corner, the painting depicts red poppies in bud or in bloom surrounded by foliage. The painting is mounted in a silver tone metal frame. A wire for hanging purposes and a decal from a 1978 Copley Artists’ Auction are present to the verso of the frame. The decal provides the title of the piece and the name of the artist.
Condition
- craquelure to entire center of painting; some areas have lift; small area of paint loss to lower left; minor wear to frame.
