An acrylic painting on canvas of a floral still life by Montel. This abstract piece depicts a rotund blue vase filled with a bouquet of bright yellow, orange, pink, and blue flowers against a dark blue background, rendered in expressive strokes with impasto. The work is signed to the lower left and is presented in a wood and acrylic frame with string for hanging affixed to the verso.
Condition
- spots of paint loss throughout; small puncture to upper left area of canvas; small dimple to middle of left area of canvas; scratches and smudges throughout frame; corners of frame are separating.
