Antique William and Mary Style Oak Sideboard With Gallery Splash, Circa 1890s

An antique William and Mary style oak sideboard. This circa 1890s sideboard features a gallery splash with pediment crest arch over mirror flanked by a pair of panels with applied moldings and fluted and scrolled bracket panels sides resting atop a sideboard cabinet. The sideboard includes a pair of drawers including teardrop pulls and handcut dovetail joinery over panel front cupboard doors with teardrop pulls and applied moldings. The unit rises up on turned twisting legs ending in bun feet with an H-stretcher for additional stability. The applied moldings include beed trim, raised egg shapes and floral medallions and the cabinet features quartersawn oak as well as figured grains.
