1888 Allen & Ginter NQ Chief Iron Bull Tobacco Card

A 1888 Allen and Ginter ‘Celebrated American Indian Chiefs’ tobacco card, Chief Iron Bull of the Crow tribe. This card was part of a set produced by Allen and Ginter cigarettes, with one card in a pack. The images were taken from portraits held in the Department of the Interior in Washington from real subjects. On the front of the card is the chief’s portrait with his name and tribe underneath. On the back there is a complete listing of all the cards, as well as the Allen and Ginter logo, the plant location of Richmond, Virginia, and the lithographer, Lindner, Eddy & Clauss, New York. This set has been called by collectors one of the most beautiful and beloved sets ever produced.
