Vintage Buccellati and Baker-Manchester Sterling Silver With Others

A collection of American and Italian sterling silver. The featured example is a pair of footed salts made by the Italian firm of Buccellati and having a fluted form with scalloped edges and shell terminals where the foot joins the body. The pair have impressed marks reading ‘Buccellati 925’ and are accompanied by spoons. The assortment also includes a sugar bowl and cream jug also having a footed form with scrolled Rococo style handles. The matched pair was made by Crown Sterling of New York circa 1935-1950 and bears their ‘Crown’ in script and with a logo together with ‘Sterling’. There are a group of three matching Baker-Manchester spoons with pierced handles dating between 1915-30 and having the impressed bird ‘M’ bird logo mark and ‘Sterling’. The total approximate weight is 8.830 ozt.

- some minor surface wear with faint markings and tarnishing; engraved monograms present.
