An aquatint etching on paper after listed artist Paul Geissler (1881 – 1965), titled Gemuse Mann. This print, which translates to ‘vegetable man’, depicts an older man posed near an overflowing basket of fresh vegetables staring to the side while smoking a pipe and wearing a traditional German hat. To the lower margins is a handwritten title and credit to the original artist. The print is presented under glass beneath layered matting in a pale blue wooden frame. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and a tag for the Gallery of Originals.
Condition
- slight wear to frame; water damage to paper backing.
