An aquatint etching by Beim Radieren after a portrait by listed artist Paul Geissler (1881 – 1965). This print on paper depicts what is believed to be a self portrait of the German artist, who stands with a contemplative stare drawing on a piece of paper. To the lower right corner of the composition is an in plate signature and date, which appears to read 1954. To the lower margins is a handwritten artist signature and an inscription regarding the print. The frame is presented under dual-layered matting in a cream-colored wooden frame. To the verso is a written inscription crediting the original artist, affixed hanging wire and tags from the Gallery of Originals. Also included is a yellow informational letter from the aforementioned gallery containing a biography on Geissler.
