A Chinese maiden oil painting on cork. It depicts a beautiful young woman in period dress playing a sheng aerophone. She sits in a Chinese style garden with colorful flowers and lush trees. A pot full of rolled paintings can be seen in the distance. The work is signed and sealed ‘Xiao Ling’ (小玲). The piece is set behind glass in a gold tone wooden frame with white cloth trim and molded floral elements. Hangs from a wire on the reverse. The paper backing contains labels with the medium and an attributed title.
