A watercolor and graphite painting on paper by Japanese artist Kakuyu Shoda (庄田鶴友, 1878-1948). This landscape depicts a village in the mountains on a hazy day. There is a red seal to the lower right corner. The piece is presented behind a triple mat and glass in a silver tone wood frame. To the verso is a paper with the artist’s name in Japanese and English and wire for hanging.

Condition

- creases and fold lines in paper, paper is buckled, scattered small stains, minor wear to frame finish.
