A posthumous restrike limited edition etching titled Nestor’s Tales of the Trojan War After Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). This print presents a minimal line drawing of four men gathered around a sword in a sparse landscape, bordered by a hand-drawn rectangle. The work is marked 707 in an edition of 1800 in pencil to the lower left, and there is a simple self-portrait of the artist in plate to the lower right. The original edition was published in Les Metamorphoses d’Ovide in 1931; this edition was printed ca. 1975, and a Certificate of Authenticity is included to the verso. The print is presented under a white mat and glass in a carved wood frame, with a hanging wire affixed to the verso.
